Life doesn’t always happen in a smooth, graceful way… does it?
Right as I was launching my new online program, a friend passed away down in Crestone — four hours from home — and I suddenly found myself navigating the labyrinth of being his Personal Representative. It’s… a lot.
A couple days ago I was so physically exhausted I could barely rise from my comfy chair.
And since then, my mind has been swimming in overwhelm.
AND — emotionally and spiritually? I feel great.
I know. How does that even work?
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
When we let ourselves be quiet in the middle of chaos, our nervous system softens.
When we allow our emotions to move instead of stuffing them down, we come back into flow.
When we remember to use the tools we already have, we can actually smile — even at our own beautiful messiness.
Life is all of it. The joy. The grief. The confusion. The tenderness.
And when the mind starts spinning stories about everything that’s wrong — with the world, our finances, our neighbors, our bodies — we spiral downward fast.
Or we cling to joy like it’s slipping through our fingers.
So the real question becomes:
How do we let life live us?
How do we stay vital, find joy in everyday moments, and stay aligned with who we truly are?
These are the conversations I love having with women over 60 who are ready to age consciously, boldly, and with a whole lot more self-honoring.
If you’re curious about what I’m offering in the new year, I’d love to connect.
Big blessings in all your transitions,
Carolyn
